It's that time of year when Hancock County joins together in the fight against cancer at the annual block party. Always the first Saturday in June, the HCFC block party starts after the Strawberry Strut ends around 10:30 in the morning. We had vendors, music, games for kids and adults, and more. HCED director and HCFC committee member, Sam Harnack was there joining in the fun and the fight for a healthier Hancock County.
Hancock County Fights Cancer is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization uniting the entire county in the fight against cancer by raising funds for HUGS (Helping Us Give Support) a local support group that provides financial help to families in Hancock County that are going through cancer, as well as supporting cancer research.
